I think that since I changed so much as a writer I took so much away from this experience. My proudest moment to be honset was hitting print and knowing that all the work that i had put in was amazing and it had turned out to be an awesome project.I in no way expected this course to turn out the way that it did but im so glad that i put myslef through this in order to prepare myself for grad school and all the other extensive writing assignments that i will have in the future.

My ability as a writer has changed so much in the past semester it hard to believe. The shitty first drafts assignment was one of the assignments that helped me the most. I remember reading it in 101 but it has taken on a whole new meaning witht he fact that as im growing my writing is too and i can change and adapt peces from the past if i choose to. As to feed back the most helpful that i recieved was the final peer review. It made me excited to get back into my paper and finsih it up because i then knew that others were excited about my paper and topic aswell. The most difficult part of the drafting process for me was staying motivated because it was such a long process and at times i did not like my topic. My conclusion was the best part of my paper and it shows how much my work has changed and grown.

The peer review projects helped me in that they opened my eyes to tother styles of research. It was so easy for me to Read others papers and enjoy their topics but this was not my purpose i was supposed to help them better their papers but i found that reading their papers really helped me as well. It showed me not only new styles of research but also how hard other students were working and how much research thay were doing and it inspired me to do more as weel adn at this point I actually rewrote my entire paper! These projects were extremely helpful.

Abstract

Love at first sight, though not wisespreadly believed in, is a possible reality that many would like happen to them. This study encompasses all aspects of love at first sight in heterosexual and homosexual individuals. The initial question of this study was in what ways does love at first sight, if it does exist, differ for heterosexual as opposed homosexual individuals. I explored in a small focus group of eight individuals the opinions of many different sexualities on love at first sight. This study was conducted on campus at Indiana University of Pennsylvania with students age 19-22. Through my research I found that most individuals do not believe that love at first sight exists but love at a first encounter or a first date is possible. I also concluded that homosexual individuals feels as though heterosexual individuals are more apt to feel love at first sight due to the fact that they base there opinions on more of outside appearance.

I feel as though I have alot to edit and so much more research to do before this paper is anywhere close to complete. Putting the three together blended well but it was not taking my paper in the right direction.

I plan to conduct polls in my classes to find out weather or not college students feel as though love at first sights exists for both sexualities. This will give me over 100 participants and they will also be kept annonymus in oder to protect them from any hate crimes or judgements placed on them based on their answers.

The first article was about several different formso f research methods and how each effects ones paper.

The article that i found was on teh interview and polling method of research. This was very helpful in that I will be conducting polls and interviews as part of my research. It explained the most heplful forms of interviewing and how to get the most honest answers out of the subjects.

The first paragraph was the abstract it explained that the study would be on homosexual and bisexual tendencies in patients hospiatlized for personalitiy disorders.
Outlined all previous studies on the same topic and what those studies consisted of.
Stated how this study would be different from other studies in that it would study the choice of sexual partner based on the disorder of the individual in order to identify a pattern.
Next it stated the methods that would be used as well as the fact that it was part of multiple studies done by the second author.
Then the author explained that concent was recieved from all subjects in the study.
Next the author explained that they conducted intreviews as well as a stress test to finalize their results
Then he explained that the follow up was video taped.
Outlined the variables used in the study and how each of them could change based on what each entailed
The next 3 paragraphs outlines how many participants dropped out of the study and what the initial and final results were in the end 12 had committed suicide.
There were then 3 tables that showed data
The author then discussed the final resuts that patients with BPD were 75% more likely to report homosexual tendencies.
The author then stated that the study encompassed same sex relationships as well as bi sexual ones
The next two paragraphs stated how the study differed from others in the past and how the results were different
The next two paragraphs explained the limitations behind the study and what factors restrained the results.
The final two paragraphs stated that there could be father work done to the study and that the results were only based on that study.

The first part was the abstract. It explained that the study encompassed 13-15 year old adolecents and weather or not they felt sexual attraction to adolecents of the same sex.
The next three paragraphs stated where the study took place (in the netherlands) and what similar studies consisted of, such as self-esteem and other age ranges
The next paragraph focused on the specifics of the study and how the study differed from others. An interesting addition to the paragharph was a reference to a specific source about more on a topic.
The next paragraph explained the backround information on same sex attraction and LGB teens and their self esteem based on if they have come out or not.
The next two paragraphs explained the hypothesis and the specifics of the study
Next the author explained the importance of the studys location.
The final three paragraphs in this section put the hypothesis in better detailand what some of the findings were predicted to be.
The next paragraph explained the specifs of who and what circumstances the subjects would be under.
The next three paragraphs talked about a previous study that had been done and that this study was piggy backing off of that study.
The next paragraph explainedthat there was a close relationship between mentors and subjects.
The next explained what measures were being studied such as sexual attraction, social status, grades, and mental health status.
The next 4 paragraphs went over in detail the findings in each of the 4 categories listed above and there were other charts to back up the data.
The next two paragraphs explained that the gpa and lgb had a negative correlation.
The next three paragraphs had explained the relationship between same sex attraction and mental status and this was mostly positive.
The final paragraphs explained the limitaions of the study.
